This club was formed as a breakaway from Cairn Lodge Boys Club, and began in the Dunmurry League before gaining entry to the Northern Amateur League in 1975.After two seasons in division 2C they moved up to 2B and have alternated between 2Aand 2B ever since until further relegation to 2C in 1997/1998.They finished 2B runners-up in1978/79 and then won the 2B title in 1987/88.The club has a good record in the Cochrane Corry Cup,having reached three finals. They were successful in 1987/88 but missed out on two other occasions. But the clubs greatest achievement in the Amateur League was undoubtedly their Clarence Cup success in 1989 when as a second division team, they beat strong favourites Drumaness Mills in the decider of the premier knock-out competition at Solitude (C,ville ).
